Cub Cadet CC 30 Battery Ride On Mower

Our first electric ride mower, really convenient, no petrol, low maintenance and does the job well

We brought the CC30E to replace a Rover hydro ride-on, so far our impression is it is heaps better. It feels sturdier than the Rover and more reliable, which is odd cause they look almost identical other than the colour. We put it down to the mower frame seems to be built a little thicker. It makes a difference when mowing on slopes, the rover had more flex. The rover would always have a flat battery if we hadn’t used it for a while, and no oils or petrol to worry about, low maintenance. As a first experience of an EV ride on, it hasn’t disappointed. It has enough power and battery capacity to cut through all our lawn on a single charge. Our block is reasonably large at 1800 square meters so no range anxiety. But if you have a bigger block than ours probably go for something bigger as recharging at 4 hours would become a little inconvenient. The mulching attachment works really well and definitely recommend using it. When you turn it on it is extremely quiet often you think it isn’t on, it is fast too, engaging the mower it sounds like a very large electric fan. Loud but not as noisy as a petrol mower. The battery charger is quite large, turns off after reaching a full charge so no worries there if accidentally left it on charge. We probably will wall mount the charger on the wall of the shed. The mower holds it charge well enough if not been used. All up can definitely recommend for small to medium size residential blocks, to early to say in the long term review if remains reliable but I have high hopes as Cub Cadets have a good reputation. Plus has a good warranty. Hope my review helps.
