Rover Duracut 820 purchase
Very happy with price, service and quality. Mower received within a couple of days assembled and tested. Saved around $150 off retailed price.
DuraCut 820
I have recently bought this mower after shopping around for a fair while. Mainly based my final decision on customer's reviews rather than salespeople as their aim is to sell. Overall I'm happy so far with my choice of Rover but here are a few points to consider - The mower is relatively heavy and feels sluggish to push. The catcher is a very robust built BUT is very heavy! No need for this extra weight. We're not collecting rocks in it. My previous mower had a long lip at the base of the catcher so when you remove it to empty, none of the cut grass would spill on the lawn. The Rover doesn't have that so each time removing the catcher, you're left with a pile. There is a metal skirting under the catcher which is very low to the ground and so when pulling the mower backwards and slightly lifting the front wheels, the mower gets stuck in the lawn/ground. It does go backwards OK as long as you don't tilt the front wheels upwards. The safety engine cut-off handle is a big pain I must say!! If you need to let go of the handle bar for any reason, empty the catcher, move something in your way, etc, the engine cuts off. I was aware of it before buying but still - very annoying. In addition, the way you need to hold the mower and the bar pressed down, applies more pressure on the forearms than if you're just pushing a mower without it. Haven't used the mulch plug yet so can't comment. It takes about 2 or 3 pulls of the cord to start the engine. Too many. But again, so far I'm generally happy.

Light and easy to start and maneuver. Very happy with the big motor too. Great mower so far, with easy top-hung catcher.
